Having graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2001 and with a year of post graduate training from the Oxford Deanery, Ranjit has a unique breath and depth of experience and dental expertise, specialising in all aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Ranjit enjoys travelling and is committed to keeping up to date with the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry by attending dental courses both in the UK and abroad. Having worked in general practice in Berkshire for several years before joining Dentalcare Marylebone as Principal Dentist in 2007, Ranjit is passionate about driving through his ethos of providing patients with the best possible care at every level of our practice. |

Dr Ian Tapp BDS
Dentist
Ian graduated from Adelaide University in 1979. After several years in general practice, Ian travelled extensively in South East Asia and India before joining our team in 2007. With a friendly, professional yet relaxed approach, Ian enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in ceramic work, and the biomechanical advances that this area of dentistry has seen over recent years. Spending time developing his knowledge and expertise in this specific area of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Ian regularly attends courses in the UK and abroad.
Ian is also an accredited Clearstep™ practioner and able to offer the teeth straightening, clear braces system to achieve a beatiful smile. Clear, comfortable and removable, the Clearstep™ system allows teeth to straighten without the need for fixed metal braces.

Dr Gillian Smith BDS
Dentist
Gillian graduated from Glasgow University in 1995. Following this she completed her training in Edinburgh before starting work in family practice. Having stayed there for some years, she moved to London in 1999 working as a private dentist for Boots Dentalcare. She enjoys all aspects of private dentistry.
Should you require orthodontic treatment, Gillian is also an accredited Clearstep™ practitioner and is qualified in using the Clearstep™ system to straighten teeth as a way of achieving a beautiful smile invisibly. |

Dr Paul Tipton BDS, MSc, DGDP, UK
Specialist in Prosthodontics
Dr Tipton commenced his advanced restorative dental training in 1987, where after 2 years study he was awarded a Masters Degree in Conservative Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London. In 1992 he was awarded an honorary ‘Diploma in General Dental Practice’ from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and appointed a member of the British Dental Associations Independent Practice Committee.
Dr Tipton is regarded as a leading authority on cosmetic and restorative dentistry and implantology in the UK. Recognised and certified as a Specialist in Prosthodontics* by the General Dental Council in 1999, Dr Tipton regularly lectures on cosmetic, implant and restorative dentistry to dentists across the UK, Europe, North America & Asia.
He is on the editorial board of Independent Dentistry and Restorative & Aesthetics Practice and was a founding member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD) and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).
Dr Tipton regularly writes clinical articles for the dental and consumer press on smile design and how a beautiful smile can be achieved and he has been featured in magazines in ‘Stars of Private Practice’.
He has recently been voted by UK dental professionals the most influential Prosthodontics Specialist in the UK. |

Dr John Doran BDS
Oral Surgeon
John Doran is a fully qualified Oral surgeon with more than 15 years experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He qualified from Guys Dental School in 1991 and started his career in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery in a hospital environment. John is also a teacher of Oral Surgery King Dental Institute.
John was placed on the Surgical Dentist Specialist register in 2000 and on the Oral Surgery Specialist register in 2007. His special interests are dental acupuncture, dental implants, medical informatics, tele-dentistry and forensic dentistry.

Dr Nikos Mardas - PhD, MS, DipDS
Periodontist
Dr Nikos Mardas qualified in Dentistry at the University of Athens, Greece in 1992 and he completed his 3 year training as a Specialist in Periodontology at the Royal Dental College, University of Aarhus, Denmark in 1997. At the same year, he completed his Master of Science Degree in Periodontology. From September 1997 to September 2000, he was an academic and clinical staff member in the same university where he was awarded his PhD degree in May 2005.From September 2000 to March 2005 he was working as a Periodontist in his own private practice limited in Periodontics and Implant dentistry in Athens Greece while at the same time he was consultant Periodontist in other two private practices.
In 2005 he joined the world known Eastman Dental Institute (UCL) where he is currently holding the position of Senior Clinical Lecturer/ Honorary Specialist (UCLH). He is also the program co-ordinator for the Master in Clinical Dentistry/ Periodontology, the only UK based specialist training program In Periodontology that is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology. Dr Mardas is an active member of the Hellenic and British Periodontal Society, the European Federation of Periodontology, the European Association of Osseointegration, Higher Education Academy and Fellow of the International Team for Implantology. He has published a significant number of scientific papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals in the field of periodontal and bone regeneration and dental implants and he is a member of the editorial team in national and international scientific journals and he has extensively lectured nationally and internationally.
Clinical expertise:
Dr Mardas has more than 17 years of private practice and university hospital based clinical experience in non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal disease including conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery, periodontal plastic surgery, alveolar bone augmentation procedures and dental implants alone or in combination with bone grafting procedures.

Dr Nazan Adali - MSc BDS(hons) BSc FDSRCS(Eng) MOrthRCS(Eng) MFDS RCS(Eng)
Orthodontist
Dr Adali graduated with double honours from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals Dental Institute in 2001. Subsequently, she held hospital appointments at Guy’s Hospital, UCLH and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She completed her specialist training in Orthodontics at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in 2007 and was awarded a Masters degree and Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons. She became a senior trainee at King’s College Hospital and gained the Fellowship in Orthodontics and has received several awards including from the Craniofacial Society of GB and European Orthodontic Society. Dr Adali has presented at national and international conferences and is a member of the Clinical Ethics Committee of Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
She is friendly and relaxed, and enjoys treating children and adults in order to transform their smile and bite. |
